On  December  14-16, 2023, at the State Olympiad  in academic subjects  among students of higher educational institutions, students of our universitytook the following prizes, one I place, one II place in subject of Resistance ofMaterials, two II places, one III place in Ecology, one II  place, two III places in the History of Turkmenistan, one II place, one III place in English, one II place,  two  III places in Chemistry, one II place, one III place in Physics, one II place, oneIII place in subject of Modern  computer  technologies, one II place in Mathematics, two III places in Russian, two  III places in Economics, one III place in the subject  of  Theoretical  mechanics, one III place in the subject  of  Engineering  graphics and  were  awarded  diplomas.

      During  2022, students  of  the  Yagshygeldi  Kakayev  International  oil  and  gas  university  actively  participated  in  international  open  Internet  Olympiads  and  won 4 gold, 3 silver, 5 bronze  medals, 18 diplomas  of  the  1st degree, 13 diplomas  of  the 2nd  degree  and  22 diplomas  of  the  3rddegree. On  December  22-24, 2022, at  the  State  Olympiad  in  academic  disciplines  among  students  of higher  educational  institutions  of  our  country, students  of  our  university  won  2 diplomas  of  the I degree, 7 diplomas  of  the II degree  and 16 diplomas  of  the III degree.

     On  May 4, 2022, the  International  Internet  Olympiad on  Chemistry  was  held  at  IOGU.  The  Olympiad  was  held  through  the "moodle" platform  of  the  university's  website  and  more  than 300 students  from  17 countries  of  the  world  participated  in it. Talented  students  of  our  university  took  an  active  part  in  the  Olympiad  and  won  prizes.

     During 2021, students of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International oil and gas university actively participated in international open Internet Olympiads and won 60 gold, 24 silver and 5 bronze medals. On December 22-24, 2021, at the State Olympiad in academic disciplines among students of higher educational institutions of our country, students of our university won 1 diploma of the I degree, 5 diplomas of the II degree and 19 diplomas of the IIIdegree.

   During the State Subject Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions of our country, held on December 24-26, 2025, students of our university achieved significant success and were awarded diplomas for the following results: 2 second-place awards in Resistance of Materials; 1 first-place and 1 third-place award in Ecology; 3 third-place awards in History of Turkmenistan; 1 first-place and 1 third-place award in English Language; 1 first-place and 1 second-place award in Chemistry; 1 first-place and 1 second-place award in Physics; 2 second-place and 1 third-place award in Modern Computer Technologies; 2 second-place awards in Mathematics; 1 second-place and 1 third-place award in Russian Language; 1 second-place award in Economics; 2 second-place and 1 third-place award in Theoretical Mechanics; and 2 third-place awards in Engineering Graphics.

   University students won 1 second-class and 1 third-class diploma at the 19th South Eastern European Mathematical Olympiad for University Students (SEEMOUS-2025), held in Korçë, Republic of Albania, from March 4 to 9, 2025.

   University students were awarded 2 III degree diplomas at the IV Open International Internet Olympiad in the subject "Theoretical Mechanics", held by the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan from March 10-15, 2025.

   University students were awarded 1 first-class, 2 second-class, and 2 third-class diplomas at the IV Open International Internet Olympiad in the subject "Resistance of Materials" held by the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction on March 18, 2025.

   In March 2025, university students were awarded 3 first-degree, 7 second-degree, and 9 third-degree diplomas in an international open online competition held by the Research Institute for Education Quality Control in Yoshkar-Ola, Russian Federation.

   A university student was awarded a third-degree diploma at the IV International Internet Olympiad in the subject "English Language" held by the Dovletmammet Azady Turkmen National Institute of World Languages on April 10-11, 2025.

   University students won 1 first-class, 1 second-class, and 4 third-class diplomas at the 5th Open International Mathematical Olympiad held by the International University for Humanities and Development from April 13 to 18, 2025.

   University students won 5 first-class, 13 second-class, and 4 third-class diplomas at the III International Open Informatics Internet Olympiad held by the Yagshigeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas on April 16, 2025.

   A university student won 1 II degree diploma at the 11th Northern Countries Universities Mathematical Competition (NCUMC-2025), held by the National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics from April 19-23, 2025.

   A university student was awarded 1 III degree diploma at the 32nd Vojtěch Jarnik International Mathematical Competition (VJIMC-2025), held from April 28 to May 3, 2025 in Ostrava, Czech Republic.

   University students were awarded 1 first-class, 3 second-class, and 4 third-class diplomas at the III International Internet Olympiad in the subject "Drawing Geometry and Engineering Graphics" held by the Institute of Engineering and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan on May 10, 2025.

   University students were awarded 3 III degree diplomas at the IV International Chemistry Olympiad held by Magtymguly Turkmen State University on October 15, 2025. won 3 first-class, 4 second-class, and 12 third-class diplomas at the 2nd International Online Economics Olympiad, held by the International University for the Humanities and Development from October 20 to 24, 2025 .

   University students were awarded 1 first-class and 1 third-class diplomas at the IV Open International Internet Ecological Olympiad held by the SA Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University on November 6-7, 2025.

   University students were awarded 2 II degree diplomas at the International Team Competition in Mathematics held in Katowice, Republic of Poland, from November 6-10, 2025.

   University students won 3 II degree and 5 III degree diplomas at the IV International Internet Olympiad in Biology, held by the Myrat Garryev State Medical University of Turkmenistan on November 20, 2025.

   University students were awarded 1 II degree and 1 III degree diplomas at the International Internet Olympiad "International Peace and Trust - the Foundation of Economic Development" held by the Aba Annayev International Equestrian Academy on November 28, 2025.

   University students were awarded 1 first-class and 1 third-class diplomas at the International Mathematical Olympiad (RUDN MATH OLYMP-2025) held by the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University on November 30, 2025.

   University students were awarded the III degree diploma at the NSUCRYPTO-2025 International Team Olympiad in Cryptography, held on December 1, 2025 by Novosibirsk State University and the Research and Education Center of the Siberian Cryptographic School.

   University students were awarded 2 II degree diplomas and 1 III degree diploma at the 5th Open International Physics Internet Olympiad, held by the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute on December 4, 2025.

   A university student received a first-class diploma at the III International Olympiad in Gas Chemistry and Gas Processing, held by the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas on December 12, 2025.

   University students were awarded 1 first-class, 2 second-class, and 2 third-class diplomas at the Bukhara International Mathematics and Chemistry Olympiads held in Bukhara, Republic of Uzbekistan, from January 24-29, 2026.
