In the epoch of powerand happiness of our sovereign state, thanks to the unprecedented efforts ofthe respected President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and international cooperation, the scientific and educational potential of ourcountry is steadily strengthened. When the state and social system is based ona scientific and educational foundation, this allows us to create strongfoundations of the state, which contributes to comprehensive harmoniousprosperous development, as the high achievements of our state clearly indicate.
Inthis regard, at the present stage of development of our country, the development of international cooperation in the field of education on the basisof leading world achievements, the further development of the national digitaleducational system is determined by the introduction of information andcommunication technologies at all its stages in line with innovative approachesto learning.
The Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas is working to bring cooperation withworld-renowned scientific and technical centers to a qualitatively new level.The vocational education standard, curriculum and curriculum of the universityare studied and implemented based on the experience of the world's leadinghigher education institutions. The university teaches modern methods ofteaching students and conducting research by scientists and scientists fromleading universities and research centers of leading universities in the world.
Without the development of new information technologies, further growthand achievement of new heights in the economy and social life are impossible.
Tothis end, the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gastrains its highly qualified specialists, bachelors and masters, activelyparticipating in the global educational space and in cooperation withinternational educational institutions of many countries of the world, includingprestigious universities and international organizations, including Europeancountries. to expand comprehensive mutually beneficial cooperation in the fieldof science and education.

- Memorandum of Understanding between Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas and China National Petroleum Corporation (People Republic of China).
Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University was admitted to the International Association of Universities on July 25, 2013 and was granted the International Award of the European Quality Assembly by the Socrates Committee of the European Business Assembly (Oxford, UK). This organization, founded in 1950 and which includes 650 universities, is located in the UNESCO building in Paris.
For his significant contribution to science and education, as well as the training of highly qualified specialists, Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University received a gold medal, badge and diploma of the International Competition «Gold Medal of the SEIN Association».
In accordance with the action plan to include the country’s universities in the list of international higher education institutions by 2024, the university, within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals program, took an active part in the «World University Ranking» Project conducted annually by Times Higher Education of Great Britain and in 2022 was placed on the lines of the global ranking.
In 2023, the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University was accepted as an associated member of the Association of Asian Universities, a member of the Association of Technical Universities
In order to implement the tasks arising from mutually beneficial Memorandums, Contracts and Agreements concluded with foreign companies and related higher education institutions, continue and develop cooperation, introduce innovative methods into the system of science and education, as well as discuss the implementation of tasks for the exchange of experience on March 24, 2023 year, an international forum was held at the Yagshygeldi Kakaev International University of Oil and Gas.
The general meeting of the business forum was attended by the heads of the university, representatives of the state concerns "Turkmengaz" and "Turkmenneft", representatives of the Turkmen branch of the China National Petroleum Corporation "International Ltd", "PETRONAS Charigali" (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd" and "Dragon Oil (Turkmenistan) Ltd."
On October 1-2, 2023, the rector and representative of the Yagshygeldi Kakaev International University of Oil and Gas took part in the international conference “Towards carbon neutrality: knowledge, technology and intelligence”, held on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China. On October 2, 2023, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Yagshygeldi Kakaev International University of Oil and Gas and the China Petroleum University on close cooperation in the field of science and education.
On December 1, 2023, a meeting was held between the head of the Libyan Economic Cooperation Bureau in Turkmenistan, Mahmud A. Hassan, and the rector of the Yagshygeldi Kakaev International University of Oil and Gas to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation. During the meeting, a number of proposals were heard on the possibilities of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of science and education between the university and Libyan oil and gas universities.
On December 5, 2023, with the participation of a delegation led by the rector of the China Petroleum University, future areas of cooperation were discussed within the framework of a memorandum of understanding between the Yagshygeldi Kakaev International University of Oil and Gas. A working meeting was held at the University of Oil and Gas. At the business meeting, a number of proposals were put forward to develop and strengthen cooperation in the field of science and education between the two higher educational institutions.
From 8 to 11 December 2023 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, at the 28th Meeting of the Parties (COP28) of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and at the international exhibition organized at the headquarters of Dragon Oil (Turkmenistan) Ltd. 2 teachers and 2 university students took part in the wind energy stand project.
During the exhibition, information was provided on the activities being carried out around the world to reduce methane emissions into the environment, develop renewable energy, and achieve water and food security.
In the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University was included in the list of environmental rankings of world universities “UI Green Metric” which are annually conducted by the University of Indonesia.
On December 28, 2023, the university hosted a meeting between the leadership of the Yagshygeldi Kakaev International University of Oil and Gas and the delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Education of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Sun Yao. At the meeting, the draft Agreement proposed by the China Petroleum University on the creation of a joint Turkmen-Chinese energy training center between the Yagshygeldi Kakaev International University of Oil and Gas and the China Petroleum University was discussed.
