The   department  of  Cybersecurity  was  foundedin  2021. The  department is  a  part  of  the  faculty  of  Digital  technologies  and  cybersecurity  and  is one  of   the structural   departments  of   the university.

     The   main  task  of  the  department  is  the  organization  and   establishment  of  educational, scientific-research  and  design  work  in  accordance  with  the  requirements   of   the  time.

      At   the  Cybersecurity  department  of  the  Digital  technologies  and  cybersecurity  faculty  of  Yagshygeldi  Kakayev  International  oil  and  gas  university,  highly  qualified  specialists  are  being  trained  in  the  specialty  of  “Automated    system  of   information processing  and   management”   as   well   as  bachelors  in  the   direction   of   “Information  security”   and  “Information  systems and technologies  (in  the  oil  and  gas  industry)”   for   establishments  of   Oil   and   gas   complex   of   Turkmenistan,   other  ministries and   sectoral   administrative    departments.

   The department graduates systems-engineers in the specialty of “Automated system of information processing and management” and bachelors in the direction of “Information security” and “Information systems and technologies  (in the  oil and  gas   industry)”,  capable  of  ensuring  cybersecurity   and  information   security  in  information   and   communication,  digital technologies,  able  to  take  measures  to  prevent   various  attacks,  use  and   create  software  and  other  means   against cyber threats.

      The  department  includes:

      -  13  computer  classes;

      - 1  class  forpreparation  of  Diploma   projects.
