The department of Applied mechanics was founded in 2012. The department is a part of the Energy and structure engineering facultyand is one of the structural departments of the university.
The main task of the department is the organization and establishment of educational, scientific-researchand design work in accordance with the requirements of the time.
At the department the students are taught on following subjects: theoretical mechanics, applied mechanics, materials science, the theory of mechanisms and machines, substitute and technical measurements, the theory of mechanisms, machines and machine parts, the technology of construction materials and machine parts and lifting-transportation structures.
At the department future engineers and bachelors are provided with deep knowledge necessary for understanding and perception of technical news. It will be useful at the preparation process of mechanical engineers, constructors and help them to be creative in their future work.
Scientific-research works are carried out at the laboratories of the department to strengthen the theoretical knowledge of students from the practical point of view.
The department includes:
- Technology of construction materials laboratory;
- Heat engines laboratory;
- Theory of mechanisms and machines, machine parts,technical measurements laboratory;
- Materialsscience laboratory;
- 1 specialized class.
