The department of Design, construction and operation of oil and gas pipelines and oil and gas storage facilities  was founded in 2012. The department is apart of the Oil and gas faculty and is one of the most important structuraldepartments of the university.

      The main task of the department is the organization and establishment of educational, scientific-research and design work in accordance with the requirements of the time.

     Atthe  Design, construction and operation of oil and gas pipelines and oil and gasstorage facilities department of the Oil and gas faculty of Yagshygeldi Kakayev International oil and gas university highly qualified mechanical engineers are being trained in the specialty of “Design,  construction and operation of oiland gas pipelines and oil and gas storage facilities” for administrative departments and enterprises of Oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan, the “Turkmengaz” State  Concern, the “Turkmennebit” State Concern  and the “Turkmengeologiya”  State Corporation. The students from  Afghanistan are being trained in this specialty at the department. 

      The department graduates mechanical engineers with higher education in the specialty of “Design, construction and operation of oil and gas pipelines and oil andgas storage facilities”.

      The department includes:

      - Hydraulics and gas dynamics laboratory;

      -  Pumps and compresses laboratory;

      -  Water supply laboratory;

      -  1 computer class;

      -  3 specialized classes.
