The  department  of  Mine  surveying  was  founded  in  2019. The department  is a  part  ofthe Geology faculty  and  is one  of  the  important  structural  departments  of  the university.

     The  main  task  of  the department is  the  organization and establishment of educational, scientific-research and design work inaccordance with the requirements of the time.

     At   the  Mine   surveying   department   of  the  Geology  faculty   of   Yagshygeldi  Kakayev International oil and gas university, highly qualified specialists are being trained in the specialty of “Enrichment of extracted minerals” as well  as  bachelors  in  the direction of “Mining” for  the Türkmengaz State Concern, the Türkmennebit State Concern and the Türkmengeologiýa State Corporation of Oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan, Türkmenhimiýa State Concern, the Ministry of industry and construction production and other administrative departments and enterprises.

   The department graduates mining engineers with higher education in the specialty of “Enrichment of extracted minerals” and  bachelors  in  the  direction  of “Mining”.

     The department includes:

      -  Drilling and blasting operations laboratory;

      -  1 computer class.
