The department of Descriptive geometry and resistance of materials was founded in 2012. The department is a part of the Geology facultyand is one of the important structural departments of the university.
The main task of the department is the organization and establishment of educational, scientific-research and design work in accordance with the requirements of the time and preparation of highly qualified specialists able to make the right decision from an economic point of view.
“Descriptive geometry, engineering and computer graphics”, “Resistance of materials” and “Computer graphics” courses are taught at the department. Knowledge of these subjects is necessary for deep learning of other basic engineering lessons and effectively using thepower of computer graphics for automated drawing works.
The department has the Materials resistance laboratory which is equipped with all essential devices for testing different materials for tension, compression, bending, shear, torsion, for determination deflections that occur in the sections of cantilever beams under loads, as well as for measuring the deformations (stresses) in structures.
The department includes:
- Materials resistance laboratory.
