Department  of  Social  sciences  was  foundedin  2012. The  department  is  a  part  of  the  Chemical   technology  and  ecology faculty  and  is  one  of  the  structural  departments  of  the  university.    

       In  the  Period  of  the  Revival  of  the  New  Era  of  the  Powerful  State,  the  main  tasks  of  the  department  are  to  educate students  in  a  patriotic  spirit,  to explain  them  moral  values,  to  tell  about  the  traditions  and  customs  inherited from  ourancestors, to  expound  the  relationship  between  man  and  society,  society  and  nature  to  students,  to  bring  up  intellectual  and  patriotic personalities withhighly moral spirit devoted to people, Motherland and Esteemed President.

       Professors  and  academic  staff  of  the  Social  sciences  department  give  specialists,   bachelors  and  masters  the  lectures  and practical  lessons  on  “Philosophy”,  “Social science”,  “Political  science”,  “Economic theory”,  “History of Turkmenistan”, “Fundamentals of  the  legislation  of  Turkmenistan”  and  “Modern  Turkmen  society” at  all  faculties  of  the   university.

      According  to  the  basics  of  new  theories  and methods  of  social  sciences  the  teachers  of  the  department  take  actively  part at explaining  reforms  actual  in  the  country  from  scientific  point  of view.

      For  the  teachers  and  students  of  the  university  the  professors  and  academic  staff  of  the  Social   sciences  department constantly  hold  scientific  seminars  on  foreign  and  domestic  policy  of  Esteemed  President  Serdar  Berdimuhamedov  and contributions  to  the  cause  of  peace  through  development,  as  well  as  the  seminars  on  promotion  the  goals  of  the  State Program  for  the  Development  of  Social  and  Humanitarian  Sciences  and  the  Action  Plan  for  its  implementation.
