The department of Modern computer technologies was founded  in   2013. The   department  is  a  part of  the  faculty  of Digital  technologies  and cybersecurity  and  is  one of the  structural  departments   of  the  university.

      The  department  of  Modern   computer   technologies  provides  education  in  the  courses  “Modern  Computer  Technologies”   and   “Digital   Economy”.  The  department  conducts  theoretical  and   practical   classes  for  future   specialists   on  the   basics   of computer  technology,   hardware   and   software,  networks,  the  Internet  system   and  methods  of  their use. Students  are  given  knowledge on  assessment  of  work  organization in  computerized   enterprises,  adoption  of  future-oriented  management solutions   based  on  its  results,  comprehensive  implementation of  computer  technology and   digital   economy,   software management,  troubleshooting  of computer  systems, and  data  protection  according  to  the  requirements  of thetime

      The  academic   staff  of  the  Modern  computer  technologies   department  carries   out effective   work on  teaching   students according  to  the  demands  of  modern  education,  actively  involve  them  in  scientific  work. Thereby  students  participate  at competitions  on  subjects   among   the  students  of  Higher  institutions  of  Turkmenistan  and  win  prize  places.
