The   department  of  Chemistry  and  energy  wasf  ounded in 2021.  The department  is  apart  of  the  Oil  industry  faculty  of Balkanabat  branch   and is one of  the  important   structural  departments   of   the university.

        The main task  of  the  department  is  the  organization  and  establishment  of  educational,  scientific-research  and  design work in accordance  with  the  requirements  of  the  time.

        At  the  Chemistry  and  energy  department  of  the  Oil  industry  faculty  of  Balkanabat  branch  of  Yagshygeldi   Kakayev International  oil  and  gas  university, highly  qualified  specialists  are  being  trained  in  the  specialty  of “Power  supply”, “Electric  driveand  automation   of  industrial  plants   and   technological   complexes” as  well   as   bachelors   in   the  direction of “Electric   power and   electric  engineering”  for  the  Türkmengaz  State  Concern,  the Türkmennebit  State  Concern,  the Türkmenhimiýa   State Concern  and  other  administrative  departments  and  enterprises  of Oil  and  gas  complex of Turkmenistan,.

       The  department   graduates   power   engineers  with  higher  education  in  the  specialty  of  “Powersupply”,  electrical  engineers in  the  specialty  of  “Electric  drive  and  automation  of  industrial  plants  and  technological  complexes”,  chemists-technologists  in  the specialty  of   “Chemical  technology  of  oil  and  gas  processing”  and   bachelors  in  the  direction  of   “Electric   power  and   electric engineering”.

      Thedepartment includes:

     - General and inorganicchemistry laboratory;

     - Electrical engineeringlaboratory;

     - Oil  and  gas  and chemical  technologies  basic  department  at  the  “Nebitgazylmytaslama”  Institute  of  the  Türkmennebit State  Concern.
