Oil  and   gas   faculty   of  the  Yagshygeldi   Kakayev   International   oil  and  gas   university  was  founded  in  2012.

     The   departments   of   Drilling   oil  and   gas   wells,  Development   and   exploitation  of   oil   and   gas   fields,   Design,  construction and  operation   of   oil   and   gas   pipelines   and   oil   and   gas   storage    facilities,   as   well   as   the   department    of   Languagesfunction   at  the   faculty.

     The   faculty    graduates   mining   engineers  in  the   specialties  of   "Drilling    of oil   and   gas    wells",  "Development  and exploitation  of  oil  and   gas    fields"   and  "Design,    construction    and    operation  of   oil  and    gas   pipelines   and   oil  and   gas  storage    facilities",  as   well   as   bachelors    and   masters   in   the   direction   of   "Oil   and   gas   business".   After   graduation,  they work   in   the   state  concerns   Türkmengaz,  Türkmennebit    of   the   oil  and   gas   complex    of    Turkmenistan,    the   state corporation   Türkmengeologiýa,   the    Scientific-research   institute   of   natural   gas   of   the   state   concern   Türkmengaz,    research institutes   as   well   as   in   relevant  management   industry    organizations.

     The   basic   department  of   the  faculty   functions   at   the  scientific-research   institute   of   natural   gas   of   the   state   concern Türkmengaz. The  theoretical  knowledge   gained   at   this   department   is  consolidated   by   students  in  production and    they   actively  participate   in   research   and   design    work.

     The  classrooms  of  the  Oil  and   gas   faculty   are   provided   with   modern   equipment. There  are  classes  for  diploma  and term  projects,  language  laboratories  and   computer   classrooms,  as  well   as  laboratories  designed   for   study  and   research.

     Students   are   trained   according   to  the   world   standards   in   the   laboratory   with   training   equipment   Drill   Sim–5000    related to  the    Drilling   of   oil  and  gas   wells   department,  in   the   laboratory    with   modern   computers   for   modeling   the   productive stratum  related   to   the   Development   and   exploitation   of   oil   and   gas   fields   department,  as   well   as   in   the   laboratory    of pumps   and  compressors   related   to   the   Design,   construction  and   operation   of   oil and   gas   pipelines   and   oil   and   gasstorage   facilities  department.

     At   the   Oil   and   gas   faculty,   promoting   the   works   of   the   Hero   Arkadag,   the   domestic   and   foreign   policy   of   our Esteemed  President,   research   and   design   works   related   to   the   areas   of  study   are   carried   out  in  the   scientific   classes and   the    scientific  base   of   the   faculty   is   being   strengthened.

     The   results   of   research   conducted   by  teachers   and   students   of   the   faculty   are   published   in   domestic   and   foreign journals  in the  form  of  abstracts   and articles.

     Also,   teachers    and    students   of   the   faculty    actively   participate   in   the   events   at   the   international   and   state   level.
