In accordance with the implementation of the tasks defined in the "Strategy for International Cooperation of the Youth of Turkmenistan for 2023-2030", in the concepts adopted for the education system, in the State program "Integrated Development of Chemical Science and Technology in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025" approved by the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, and with the aim of creating a scientifically educated, broad-minded, advanced generation, with the aim of attracting talented students to science and training scientific personnel, as well as introducing innovations into the scientific and educational system, the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University continuously carries out work to build bilateral relations with leading foreign specialized higher education institutions to exchange experience, to establish modern methods of training high-level specialists that meet international standards.

    In the era of Revival of the new epoch of a powerful state, on November 13, 2024, declared the year of the "The Fount of Mind Magtymguly Pragy", the International scientific-practical online conference "Prospects of Innovative Technologies in Chemistry and Gas Chemistry" was held at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University through a digital system at a highly organized level.

    The work of the International scientific-practical online conference was held in a general meeting and in 3 sections: “Directions of development of the chemical industry”, “Innovative technologies in the gas chemical industry” and “Economic and environmental problems of the chemical and gas industry”.

This scientific-practical online conference, held at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, was actively attended by 18 countries, namely the People's Republic of China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the State of Qatar, the Republic of Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Russian Federation, Romania, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Republic of Armenia and Turkmenistan, professors and teachers, scientists, postgraduates and students from 34 higher education institutions from foreign countries and our country, as well as specialists from “Petronas Charigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd”, “Dragon Oil (Turkmenistan) Ltd.”, “Eni Turkmenistan Limited”, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and 9 enterprises and factories of our country.

    The International scientific-practical conference was opened with welcoming addresses by the Rector of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University.

    At the International scientific-practical conference, there were performed more than 90 scientific reports of professors and students of domestic and foreign higher educational institutions, as well as company specialists. Rectors and vice-rectors of prestigious foreign universities wished success to all participants and students via digital communication, and emphasized the high level of preparation and organization of the international conference.

    Within the framework of the conference, after the online presentations, a participant of the International scientific-practical conference, Chief Engineer-Technologist of the Malaysian company “Petronas Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd”, Iskandar Zakaria, spoke and acquainted students, professors and specialists with the research activities carried out in the company.

    Then at the International scientific-practical conference specialists, teachers and students of higher educational institutions, companies and other institutions of our country and foreign countries presented their scientific works and exchanged opinions.

    Within the framework of the International scientific-practical conference, a solemn ceremony of signing the “Memorandum of Understanding between Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, Petronas Charigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd and Petronas University of Technology” was held.

    For several years now, effective cooperation in the field of science and education has been realized between Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, Petronas Charigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd and Petronas University of Technology. Professors and lecturers of the University of Technology organize regular online courses for students and young lecturers of Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University on the introduction of innovative technologies and digital systems used in the oil and gas industry. Currently, four professors of the University of Technology conduct week-long general trainings on various topics for teachers and students of the university.

    On the basis of the signed Memorandum it is planned to expand and develop the spheres of joint research and project works in the spheres of oil and gas, geological research, chemical technologies, digital economy, as well as renewable energy sources, green energy, solving environmental problems related to climate change, as well as to carry out joint publications of research results of professors, teachers, specialists and young scientists in international indexed scientific journals.

    The Conference participants were impressed by the speeches of students, professors, as well as teachers of universities on the development trends of chemistry, gas chemical industry, the introduction of innovative technologies in industry, digital systems, economic development, environmental problems and other pressing scientific topics.
