Department  of  General  chemistry  was  founded  in  2012. The department  is  a  part  of  the  Chemical  technology and  ecology faculty  and is  one  of  the  structural  departments  of  the  university.

      The main task of  the  department   is  the  organization  and  establishment  of  educational,  scientific-research  and  design  work in accordance  with  the  requirements  of  the  time.

     At the General chemistry department of the Chemical technology and ecology  faculty of Yagshygeldi Kakayev International oil and gas university,  highly qualified specialists are being trained for the Türkmengaz State Concern,  the Türkmennebit  State Concern,  the  Türkmenhimiýa  State  Concern  and  administrative  departments  and  enterprises  of  Oil  and  Gas  complex  of Turkmenistan.

      Professors  and  academic  staff  of  the  General  chemistry  department  give  students  the  lectures  and  practical  lessons  on Chemistry  at  all  faculties  of  the  university.

      Educational,  methodological  and  scientific  seminars  are  constantly held  at  the  department  of  Genera l chemistry. Under  the supervision  of  the  professor-academic  staff  of  the  General  chemistry  department,  talented  students  actively  participate  at competitions  on  subjects  among  the  students  of  Higher  institutions  of  Turkmenistan,  as  well  as  at  the  international  open  internet  Olympics,  and  take  prize  places.

   -  CE-02 General   chemistry  laboratory;

   -  CE-03 General   chemistry   laboratory;

   -  CE-04 General   and inorganic chemistry laboratory;

   -  CE-05 General   chemistry   laboratory;

  -  CE-06 Analytical   chemistry laboratory;

  -  CE-07 Analyticalchemistry  and  physical-chemical   methods   of   analysis   laboratory;

  -  CE-08  Physical   chemical    laboratory.
