Development of Turkmen - Chinese cooperation: towards a great future with youth
On January 5-6, 2023, declaredthe year of "Happy Youth with Arkadag Serdar", the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and members of the government delegation to the People's Republic of China took place. It should be especially noted that this isthe first foreign visit of Arkadagly Serdar this year, which coincided with asignificant date - the 31 st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and China.
After the talks between the heads of the two states, an extended meeting was held with the participation of members of the official delegations of the two countries. It is necessary to note the effective nature of the bilateral partnership. This is confirmed by the agreements reachedduring the last meeting, enshrined in the signed documents, which will furtherstrengthen mutually beneficial interstate cooperation, including in the fieldof science and education. Along withproductive trade and economic cooperation, issues of education occupy animportant place in Turkmen-Chinese relations. At present, fruitful contacts are being carried both at the governmental level and at the level of higher educational institutions and companies of thetwo countries. Speaking of connectionsbetween universities and companies of the two countries, which are important inbroadening of the Turkmen-Chinese cooperation, it is significant that Turkmenistanconsiders them as a valuable resource for rapprochement and mutualunderstanding between our states and peoples.
Turkmenistan highly appreciates the readiness of Chinese partners to accept young people from our country for training and pays special attention to our compatriots who are currently studying in China. Confirmation of this is the meeting with Turkmen students studying in higher educational institutions of the People's Republic of China with the participation of members of the government delegation.
As the result of the talks between the heads of the two states, the signing ceremony of a considerable package of bilateral documents was held, including the Memorandum of Understanding between the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas Universityand the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), the purpose of which is to strengthen international cooperation in the field of education and scientific research in the process of training young highly qualified specialists for the oil and gas industry of our Motherland.
