The II Open International Olympiad in Informatics (OIOIUS -2024)  with the participation of students from higher educational institutions of the country and foreign countries, as well as an International scientific-practical conference and exhibition “Scientific views of student youth in the Epoch of the Revival of a new era of powerful state” among the participants of the Olympiad were held at the

      In accordance with the “Concept for the development of the digital education system in Turkmenistan and the Plan for its implementation”, approved by the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, and in fulfillment of the tasks set by President Arkadagly Hero, to train an educated young generation with a broad worldview, in order to attract students to science and identify talented youth, as well as the introduction of innovations in the system of science and education and for conducting independent monitoring of the quality of education, on April 15-20, 2024, the II Open International Olympiad in Informatics (OIOIUS-2024) among students of higher educational institutions of the country and foreign countries, and within the framework of the Olympiad, on April 19, 2024, the International Scientific-practical conference and Exhibition “Scientific views of student youth in the Epoch of the Revival of a new era of powerful state” among participants were held at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University.

      The II OpenInternational Olympiad in Informatics, held among students of highereducational institutions, became evidence of the consistent implementation ofthe digital education system in Turkmenistan as well as the fact that our youthskillfully use innovative technologies.

       On April 17, 2024, the opening ceremony of theII Open International Olympiad in Informatics took place in the main buildingof the university. The event was attended by students of higher educationalinstitutions of our country and foreign countries, their supervisors, as wellas other guests. At the opening ceremony, the Rector of the Yagshygeldi KakayevInternational Oil and Gas University, as well as the Rectors of highereducational institutions of foreign countries, who spoke via digitalcommunication, congratulated the students participating in the Olympiad andtheir supervisors and wished them great success.

       The II Open International Olympiad inInformatics (OIOIUS-2024) was held on April 17-18, 2024 in two stages. In thefirst stage, participants were offered five tasks related to the development ofprograms to solve various problems. In the second round of the Olympiad,students were presented with technical tasks for comprehensive solutions toproblems in the field of cybersecurity.

      In total, about 350students from 52 higher educational institutions from 18 countries of the worldactively took part in the International Olympiad.

      Along with participants from higher educational institutions of our country, a total of 186 foreign representatives of which 152 students and 34 supervisors from 17 foreign countries, such as the Federal Republic of Germany, Romania, the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Uzbekistan, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Turkey, Islamic Republic of Iran, Georgia, Qatar, Libya and Afghanistan took part in the International Olympiad.

      On April 19, 2024, within the framework of the Olympiad among its participants, the International Scientific-practical conference and Exhibition “Scientific views of student youth in the Epoch of the Revival of a new era of powerful state” was held with the participation of about 800 students, professors and teachers in the conference hall of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University.

      With a congratulatory speech, the Rector of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, Doctor of Technical Sciences Bayrammyrat Atamanov opened the conference. At the opening ceremony, Rectors of universities from foreign countries spoke via digital communication and congratulated the student-participants of the conference and their supervisors. A total of 31 speeches were planned at the conference, and all of them were performed.

      The results of practical and technological research on the development of a high-tech, competitive digital economy and industrial system on an innovative basis, expressed in speeches at the International scientific-practical conference, are aimed at developing relevant areas of science in the future.

      The official working languages of the International scientific-practical conference were Turkmen, Russian and English. At the International scientific-practical conference, students from higher educational institutions of our country and foreign countries presented their scientific works and exchanged experiences.

      Participants in the International scientific-practical conference discussed important issues related to technologies that meet international standards and current trends in science. In turn, this created ample opportunities for students to obtain information about the latest achievements of science. The Conference opens up great opportunities for students in the future to conduct joint research, exchange experiences and strengthen friendship and brotherhood.

      As part of the International scientific-practical conference, a round table meeting was held with the participation of responsible teachers from foreign universities and young teachers of our university. During the meeting, an exchange of experience took place on teaching methods, research activities and the implementation of a digital education system in higher educational institutions, also it was proposed to intensify cooperation in this area.

    Individual and team winners of the Olympiad were determined with the help of national software specially developed by the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, by the total number of points scored. On April 19, 2024, the Award ceremony for the winners of the II Open International Olympiad in Informatics (OIOIUS-2024) took place in the conference hall of the university. The university Rector presented the students recognized as winners with diplomas of 1st, 2nd, 3rd degrees, and, accordingly, gold, silver, bronze medals, as well as valuable gifts from our Esteemed President. Active participants of the Olympiad and their supervisors were awarded certificates.

      In total, at the International Olympiad students from higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan won 43 medals, of these, 10 gold, 12 silver and 21 bronze medals.

      Also at the Olympiad, student-participants from the Russian Federation won 17 medals, from the People's Republic of China 10 medals and from the Republic of Uzbekistan 9 medals. Especially, students of the Kazakh-British Technical University distinguished and thus won 3 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals.

      At the international scientific-practical conference on behalf of the participants of the II Open International Olympiad in Informatics among students of higher educational institutions of our country and foreign countries and the scientific-practical conference and exhibition “Scientific views of student youth in the Epoch of the Revival of a new era of powerful state”, an Address to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was adopted .

      The Conference participants expressed sincere gratitude to our Scientist Arkadag, Esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the ongoing policy of innovative development in the national spheres of science and education, as well as for his fatherly care for youth.

      In speeches at the International conference, words of gratitude were expressed to the Respected Scientist Arkadag, the Esteemed President for the prosperity of our state in the Epoch of the Revival of a new era of powerful state, the introduction of the best world practices, the identification of talented youth, the achievement of new heights in the field of science and education and the development of international cooperation in this area with foreign countries.

      As a result of the Conference, the following recommendations were proposed:

1.Establish closer communication between students and researchers in order to study modern world-class technologies and master innovative technologies in relevant fields of science.

2.Maintain close contacts with developed countries in the field of science and innovative technologies.

3.Regularly hold such international Olympiads, scientific-practical conferences and exhibitions with the aim of conducting joint research projects, exchanging experiences and strengthening friendly and fraternal relations between students of our country and foreign countries.

      Participants of the International Olympiad and Scientific-practical conference got acquainted with the created conditions for obtaining modern education and professional training, as well as with classrooms and laboratories equipped with modern equipment, sports complex facilities, the Information Technology Center, the scientific and educational innovation center, and the research and the training center of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University. Foreign students became interested in the research and project work of university students and exchanged ideas.

      Excursions to the sights of our capital city, Ashgabat, the complex of historical monuments of Nisa, national museums and shopping and entertainment centers were organized for foreign students who participated in the Olympiad and their supervisors.

      The students who won the Olympiad expressed sincere gratitude to President Arkadagly Hero for the initiatives for fundamental reform and modernization of the science and education system, as well as for his concern for the modern development of the science and education system, the younger generation receiving an education that meets world standards and the further expansion of international cooperation.

      We express our deep gratitude to our Hero Arkadag, Arkadagly Hero Serdar for his tireless efforts to improve the work of educational institutions, train high-level specialists, and for caring for the younger generation! We wish Hero Arkadag, Arkadagly Hero Serdar good health, longevity, prosperity and great success in all deeds for the sake of the stability of the Motherland and the well-being of all humanity!
