Today, Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF) 2024 was officially opened at the Yyldyz Hotel in Ashgabat.

The International Conference and Exhibition aimed at involving advanced technologies and innovations to the economy of Turkmenistan was organized by the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the participants with welcoming speech via video link. In his speech, he emphasized the significance of the forum for the country's ongoing economic growth and the strengthening of international cooperation.

The opening ceremony was attended by government officials, heads of ministries and agencies of the country, representatives of foreign diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, as well as representatives from the financial and banking sectors, energy companies, public organizations and Mass Media.

The participants from the World Bank in Kazakhstan, the Eurasian Department of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and UN structural divisions attended this event.

The main objective of the forum is to attract foreign investments, particularly in the Caspian Sea’s hydrocarbon resources and the largest gas field "Galkynysh", as well as the presentation of the major projects such as the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) pipeline, gas chemical initiatives, energy production, construction, textiles and transport, development of the smart agriculture, and efficient water resource management.

For Turkmen entrepreneur, this forum presents wide-ranging opportunities as attracting foreign investments, useful networking, exporting goods and services, and studying best practices.

Within the forum, meetings with heads of national companies and ministries of various sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan will be organized. An interactive exhibition will also be held for forum guests.
