Thanks to the wise domestic and foreign policy of the President of Turkmenistan, Esteemed Serdar Berdimuhamedov, implementing modern reforms, binificial projects of international importance, new humanitarian approaches, taking into account the long-term prospect of international cooperation, the world prestige of Turkmenistan and turkmen people is growing day by day.

    During the state visit of our Esteemed President to the People's Republic of China, it was proposed to accelerate the implementation of the Lu Ban Workshop project, adopted by the Joint Declaration of Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China on January 6, 2023.

    In this regard, on October 16-20, 2024, the rector of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University visited Beijing and Xi'an, People's Republic of China to discuss the development of cooperation between the China University of Petroleum, Xi'an University of Petroleum and Hebei Petroleum Vocational and Technical University.

    On October 17, 2024, there was organized a meeting at Xi'an University of Petroleum with the university's faculty and students. At the meeting, the rector of our university, through a presentation, told that under the far-sighted and wise leadership of the our Esteemed President, along with all sectors of the country's economy, the material and technical base of the oil and gas industry and the education system are constantly being strengthened, the digital education system is developing, he also spoke about the structure of the university, the educational and scientific work carried out and the achievements of our university. At the meeting the educational and research activities planned to be carried out in the Lu Ban Workshop, the areas of bachelor's degree training, and the equipment to be installed in the workshop were discussed.

    On October 18, 2024, a five-party Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, Xi'an Petroleum University, Hebei Petroleum Vocational and Technical University, China National Petroleum Corporation and the China Association for International Educational Exchange on the opening of the Lu Ban workshop in Turkmenistan, and areas of cooperation were discussed either.

    As part of the working visit, on October 19, 2024, a tour to the educational buildings, modern laboratories, as well as introduction of the scientific and educational activities, educational programs and curricula of the China University of Petroleum in Beijing were organized. In order to study the history of foundation and achievements of the university, an excursion of the university museum was organized as well. Then, in order to expand and promote the scope of activities carried out within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of science and education, the rector of our university met with the rector and faculty of the China University of Petroleum. During the meeting, the rector of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, the China University of Petroleum and the Center for Chinese-foreign languages Exchange and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of China discussed the draft Agreement on the establishment of the Turkmen-Chinese Energy Training Center, as well as the draft Charter of the international educational program “Two Diplomas” and the curriculum of the center.
