The ceremony of presenting the Youth Prize of Turkmenistan took place in Ashgabat
In honor of the 33rd anniversary of the founding of the Magtymguly Youth Organization, on November 16, a solemn ceremony was held at the Center for Public Organizations of Turkmenistan to present the Youth Prize of Turkmenistan to the best representatives of the country’s young generation.
This award is given to young people who have shown an active position in promoting public policy and large-scale reforms, who have achieved impressive success in various spheres – literature, art, culture, science and technology, medicine, sports, agriculture, and social activities. The annual competition for the Youth Prize of Turkmenistan is attended by young citizens of the country aged 16 to 35 years and who have not previously received this award.
Applicants for the award can be nominated by ministries and departments, government agencies and enterprises, public and creative organizations, institutions of science, education, healthcare, higher and secondary professional educational institutions, as well as the mass media.
This year, 506 young people were nominated by ministries and departments, universities of the country, the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, velayats to receive the Youth Prize of Turkmenistan, 135 of whom were selected. These are young university lecturers, students and schoolchildren, representatives of creative teams, journalists, young specialists working in various ministries, departments and enterprises. The laureates of the Youth Prize of Turkmenistan were solemnly presented with the book "Magtymguly", published for the 300th anniversary of the great poet and thinker of the East, relevant certificates, valuable gifts and bunches of flowers. As President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted on November 15 at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, effective activities are being carried out in our country to form educated, erudite youth, who honor the national heritage. We will continue to create the necessary conditions for young people who achieve success in various spheres and show a creative approach in everything, the head of state said.
