On  April 13, 2023, a  work  meeting  was  held at  the Yagshygeldi  Kakayev  International  oil  and  gas university  to  discuss  issues related  to  the  establishment  the  Lu Ban  Workshop  at the University. Lu Ban Workshop  was  created  by  the  Chinese Tianjin Educational  Institution  with  the support of  the  Ministry of Education  of  the  People's  Republic  of  China  and  is currently operating in many countries.

     The  work  meeting  was  held  with  the  active  participation  of  the  heads  of  the  Yagshygeldi  Kakayev  International  oil  and  gas  university  and  representatives  of  the  Turkmen  branch  of  the  China National  Petroleum  Corporation  “International  Ltd”,  as  well  as  representatives  of  the  China  National  Oil  and  Gas  Corporation,  Xi'an  Petroleum  University  of  the  People's  Republic  of  China  and  Hebei  Petroleum  Vocational  Technical  University  who  participated  via  video  link.

     The  representative  of  the  China  National  Petroleum  Corporation  held  a  session  of  the  work  meeting.  Specific tasks for the opening of the Lu Ban workshop at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International oil and  gas  university, the localization of the workshop's academic building to accommodate modern  laboratory  equipment  were  considered, also  specialization  of  educational  and  practical  classes,  curricula and  programs, academic subjects, educational and practical equipment and provision of teachers were discussed at the meeting.

     At  the  meeting  the  Rector of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International oil and gas university  made a  speech and underlined that thanks to  the  efforts  of  the  Esteemed  President, a lot of work  is  being done to continuously  improve  the  scientific  and  educational system of  the country and ensure modern  education  and  training  of  the younger  generation,  encouraging  them  to science and creativity.  He also familiarized the guests with  the faculties of the university, areas of study,  the  activities  of  existing  centers and achievements of  the  university  and  presented  models and videos of proposed  buildings  for  the Lu Ban workshop, which  is  planned  to becreated at the university. The participants of the meeting   exchanged   questions  and  answers  about  the  proposed  buildings for  the  workshop  and  the  specialties  that will be  trained  there, finally specific  decisions  were made. The rector of  the  Yagshygeldi  Kakayev  International oil  and gas university and the China  National Petroleum  Corporation  received  proposals that the parties supported:

    - Creation  of  abilateral  Chinese-Turkmen working group on  the  Lu Ban workshop;

    - conclusion of a Memorandum of Understanding.

     The  Vice- rector  of  the  Xi'an  Petroleum  University  of  the  People's  Republic  of  China  proposed to teach bachelors in the field of “Petroleum Engineering”, “Storage and Transportation of oil and Gas”, “Geology”, “Science and Engineering of NewEnergy”, as well as masters  in  the  field  of  “Oil and gas engineering”, “Geology” and “Engineering of geological resources” in the workshop of Lu Banthe opening of which is planned at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International oil and gas university. The representative of the Hebei Petroleum Vocational Technical University of the People's Republic of China offered to teach bachelors in the fields of “Oil Technologies” and “Big Data Technologies” inthe proposed workshop of Lu Ban.

     Also, the rectorof the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International oil and gas university proposed toestablish training of bachelors in the field of “Information Security”, professionalsin the specialties “Electrification and automation of industrial facilities and technological complexes” and “Chemical technology of oil and gas processing”, as well as masters in the field of “Oil and gas business” in the workshop of Lu Ban.

     According to the results of the work meeting, the following decisions were made:

    1. Creation of abilateral Chinese-Turkmen working group on the opening of the Lu Ban workshop at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International oil and gas university;

    2. To carry out the appropriate work for the conclusion in 2023 of a Memorandum of Understanding on the creation of the Lu Ban workshop;

    3. To carry out appropriate work to send representatives of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International oil and gas university to the People's Republic of China to visitthe Hebei Petroleum Vocational Technical University  of  China and Xi'an Petroleum University and discuss is sues related to the opening of the Lu Ban workshop;

    4. To  carry out appropriate work to invite representatives of the China National Oil and Gas Corporation, Hebei Petroleum Vocational Technical University of China and Xi'an Petroleum University to visit the Yagshygeldi  Kakayev  International  oil  and  gas  university, in order to carry out work on the opening of the Lu Ban workshop.
