An off-site training session was conducted at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan for students of the “Human Resource Management (in the oil and gas industry)” program at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University
The achievements and growth rates attained in our country’s economy during the years of independence serve as a solid foundation for ensuring a prosperous life for the population. The stable annual growth of the national economy, the continuous increase in investments aimed at expanding human potential, and the positive dynamics of other macroeconomic indicators contribute to strengthening social protection for citizens, improving the material and living conditions of the population, and, in particular, ensuring a consistent increase in their incomes. Turkmenistan’s economy, developing at a high pace, has firmly strengthened its position among countries successfully integrating into the global economic space. The priority directions of the economic strategy include further development of the independent homeland, promotion of entrepreneurship introducing innovative initiatives, implementation of advanced technologies, creation of joint ventures and joint-stock companies, as well as the implementation of deep reforms across all sectors through the development of insurance, the stock exchange, and the securities market.
This has made it possible to ensure the balanced development of many sectors of Turkmenistan’s economy and maintain their competitiveness. Supporting infrastructure transformations and focusing on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, in accordance with the National Program for Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2022–2052, work will continue on creating scientific and industrial complexes operating on the basis of the latest highly efficient and environmentally friendly technologies and know-how. In the oil and gas sector, the construction and modernization of several large facilities are planned. The implementation of Turkmenistan’s socio-economic development strategy in the near future, as well as the development of the oil and gas industry as an essential component, will contribute to further strengthening the economic potential of our homeland. At present, Turkmenistan has established a multi-sectoral, diversified economy that includes power generation, oil and gas extraction, oil refining, chemical and petrochemical industries, machinery and metal processing, production of construction materials, as well as light and food industry enterprises. Under current conditions, the implementation of the strategy for developing the oil and gas industry will continue to serve the strengthening of our country’s economic potential.
